As good as Andersen has been, the Sharks are one of the NHL’s best team and come in ranked 11th in the NHL in goals (3.21 GF/pg).

Andersen allowed one goal on 39 shots in the Maple Leafs win over the Devils last Friday. Garret Sparks gave him the night off on Saturday, so Andersen will kick-off the Maple Leafs road-trip tonight in Los Angeles. The Kings are starting their third-string goalie and Andersen is 5-0-0 with a 2.20 GAA, .932 SV% and one shutout on the road.

Andersen has been brilliant as of late, going 4-2-0 with a 1.52 GAA, .951 SV% and one shutout in his last six starts. The Maple Leafs have done well without Auston Matthews, but continue to struggle on home-ice, to no fault of Andersen. He is 3-5-0 despite posting a 2.17 GAA and .927 SV% at Scotiabank Arena.

The win snapped a brief two-game losing skid for Andersen, who has won three of his last five while posting a 1.62 GAA, .946 SV% and one shutout. The 29-year-old is surprisingly 2-5-0 in seven starts at Scotiabank Arena this season.



Chatfield has one assist in seven games with Utica so far this season. The undrafted free agent could make his NHL debut on Friday, but it’s more likely that he has been called up as an extra defenseman.

Valimaki has one goal and 11 shots on goal in nine games with the Flames this season. With Travis Hamonic (face) ready to return tonight, Valimaki will be a healthy scratch for the first time this season.

Walker was recalled from Ontario (AHL) on Monday and will make his season debut tonight in Dallas. The 23-year-old defenseman will replace Oscar Fantenberg and play with Dion Phaneuf.

Walker, 23, was an undrafted free agent out of Bowling Green State University. Walker had 28 points (7G / 21A) in 64 games during his first pro season with Ontario in 2017-18 and has amassed six points (3G / 3A) in his first seven games this season. His call-up means the Kings are carrying eight defenseman on their active roster right now.
