Coleman missed the season opener while serving his one-game suspension but will play in the home opener vs. the Ducks on Monday. Coleman spent a lot of time on the top line in training camp but will open the season on the third line with Mikael Backlund and Milan Lucic.

With Strome out for Saturday's game in Montreal, Filip Chytil will likely move up to the second line with Artemi Panarin. Kaapo Kakko was elevated to PP1 as well.









The Blue Jackets shipped out Seth Jones but brought in two young defensemen in Adam Boqvist (from Chicago) and Bean to bolster their blueline. Bean was the No.13 overall pick in 2016 and had 12 points (1G / 11A) in 42 games in his first full NHL season in 2020-21. Bean will battle with Vladislav Gavrikov for playing time on the left-side behind Zach Werenski.

Bishop split his 2021 season between the NHL and AHL, picking up three assists in 13 games with the Senators and five points (2G / 3A) in eight AHL games.

Bahl was a second-round pick in 2018 and will make his NHL debut Thursday vs. the Flyers. Bahl turned pro in 2021 and scored one goal with four assists (five points) in 26 AHL games with Binghamton.


With Jake Gardiner back, the Hurricanes seem content to rotate their third pairing and tonight is Bean's turn to sit and refresh. Bean has one goal and 10 assists (11 points) in 30 games this season.


Whitecloud has missed the last two games with an upper-body injury and will miss at least two more games after staying back in Vegas. With Whitecloud out, expect Nick Holden and Dylan Coghlan to remain in the lineup.
