Frost has been a healthy scratch the last six games and will return to the Flyers' lineup on Monday, replacing Ryan Poehling. Frost broke out last season, recording 46 points (19G / 27A) in 81 games but hasn't had the favour of John Tortorella and the Flyers' coaching staff early this season. He is likely to slot on the second line with Travis Konecny and Tyson Foerster.

He had a goal, six SOG, two PIMs and a +1 plus/minus in 10 games last season with New Jersey.

Morgan Frost will be a healthy scratch Tuesday vs. Vancouver.

Frost will be the surprising odd man out of the Flyers' lineup Tuesday vs. Vancouver a season after leading Phialdelphia in even strength points. The 24-year-old centre has failed to pick up a point in any of the Flyers' first two games and only has two SOG and a -1 plus/minus while averaging 13:57 TOI. He willl make way to Bobby Brink (healthy scratch) returning to Philadelphia's lineup Tuesday.

Colorado has claimed Ivan Prosvetov from the Arizona Coyotes.

Prosvetov provides some much-needed organizational goaltending depth for Colorado, especially with the immediate health of Pavel Francouz (groin) being uncertain. Prosvetov has played most of the last four seasons for the Tuscon Roadrunners of the AHL but has seen some NHL action over that time as well. Last season, he played seven games (4-3-0) for the Arizona Coyotes, recording a 3.98 GAA and .880 SV%. With Justus Annunen being assigned to the AHL, it appears that Prosvetov will begin the season as the Avalanche backup goalie.

Adam Klapka has been assigned to the Calgary Wranglers (AHL) for the start of the 2023-24 season.

Klapka had a shot to make Calgary's opening night roster but has unfortunately been re-assigned to the Calgary Wranglers (AHL) to start the 2023-24 season. The 23-year-old has yet to make his NHL debut after being signed as an undrafted free agent in 2022-23. He returns to the Wranglers where he had 13 goals, 12 assists, 80 PIMs, and a +1 plus/minus in 60 games during his inaugural AHL season in 2022-23.
