Maatta will make his first appearance since December 16th, slotting in for Nick DeSimone. Maatta has zero goals and just one assist in 19 games this season.

Othmann has split time between the NHL and AHL this season and will return to Hartford (AHL). The 23-year-old Othmann is averaging 9:53 time-on-ice and has one goal in 17 games.

Wolf has had an inconsistent 2025-26 campaign and hopes the extended Olympic break can help him reset and return to the form that saw him finish as the runner-up for the Calder Trophy in the 2024-25 season. The 24-year-old Wolf entered the break by allowing four or more goals in seven of his last 10 games (2-7-1), posting an ugly 3.51 GAA and .881 SV%, and was largely outplayed by counterpart Devin Cooley. The Flames enter Thursday's contest as +112 road underdogs against a Sharks team they defeated 3-2 in their previous meeting.

With Leo Carlsson (lower body) returning to Anaheim's lineup, Strome will be the odd man out on Wednesday against the Edmonton Oilers. Beecher has been sidelined by an upper-body injury since January 3rd, but appears set to re-join the Flames lineup following the Olympic break. Since joining the Flames via waivers, Beecher has two assists in 19 games, giving him a total of three points (1G / 2A) in 25 games this season.

Coleman missed the final 12 games before the Olympic break with an upper-body injury, but appears ready to play Thursday in San Jose when the Flames return to action. Coleman, who has 13 goals and eight assists (21 points) in 44 games this season, is one of the biggest names on the trade block as the trade deadline quickly approaches.



Anton Blidh will draw into the Rangers' lineup on Thursday against the Carolina Hurricanes, sending Othmann to the sidelines. The 23-year-old Othmann is averaging 9:55 time-on-ice and has one goal in 16 games this season.

Huberdeau scored a goal in Wednesday's 4-3 win over the Edmonton Oilers, but the Flames announced on Thursday morning that Huberdeau will undergo hip resurfacing surgery, sidelining him for the remainder of the season. The 32-year-old Huberdeau was have a sluggish season, with 25 points (10G / 15A) through 50 games, but ends his 2025-26 campaign with four points (1G / 3A) in his last five outings.

Cooley has lost three straight games (0-2-1), but continues to be a reliable presence in Calgary's crease, posting a 2.29 GAA and .924 SV% in those outings. Dating back to late December, the 28-year-old goalie has a dazzling 2.00 GAA and .933 SV% in his last six games (3-2-1). Still, the Flames enter the action on Wednesday as +116 road underdogs against an Edmonton Oilers team that played last night and lost 5-2 to the Toronto Maple Leafs.

White was drafted in the fourth round of the 2022 NHL Entry Draft by the Dallas Stars and has spent the past three seasons in the AHL. The 23-year-old defenseman had five points (3G / 2A) in 23 games with Texas (AHL) this season.

Kirkland did not play in the Flames' previous game, and he has now been assigned to the Wranglers (AHL). The 29-year-old Kirkland averaged 9:49 time-on-ice and scored two points (1G / 1A) in 20 games with the Flames this season.

Parekh started the season in the NHL but struggled to acclimate before an injury sidelined him for a lengthy period. He was then sent to play for Team Canada at the U-20 World Junior Championship, where he excelled with 13 points (5G / 8A) in seven games. The talented 19-year-old defenseman carried that international momentum into a brief conditioning loan with the Calgary Wranglers (AHL), where he scored five points (2G / 3A) in four games. He will return to the Flames' lineup on Monday for his first NHL action since November 7th.
