Georgiev stopped 31 of 32 shots in the Rangers loss in Dallas last Tuesday. Henrik Lundqvist started the last two games but it looks like Georgiev will get back in the crease tonight in Edmonton. The young netminder is winless in his last three games despite stopping 94 of the 101 shots (.931 SV%) that he has faced.

Georgiev allowed two goals on 39 shots in the Rangers loss to the Capitals on Sunday. Georgiev will start for the second straight game and for the third time in four games but is expected to split time with Henrik Lundqvist down the stretch. The 23-year-old has gone 4-8-0 with a 4.10 GAA and .884 SV% on the road this year.

Schenn will make his Canucks debut after they tried Erik Gudbranson to the Penguins. Schenn has put up solid numbers in the AHL (1G / 4A in seven games) but has just 15 points (2G / 13A) in his last 150 NHL games.

Pearson got off to a nice start in Pittsburgh but dropped down the depth chart after they added Nick Bjugstad and Jared McCann. Overall, Pearson has nine goals and six assists (15 points) in 61 games between the Kings and Penguins. He has a much better chance to play in the Canucks top-6 and could slot onto the top line with Bo Horvat right away.

Schenn played in eight games with the Ducks earlier this season but has been in the AHL since being traded to the Canucks. Since the trade, Schenn, who is not known for his offence, has five points (1G / 4A) in seven games. He should make his Canucks debut on the weekend with both Chris Tanev and Alexander Edler out.

Georgiev stopped a ridiculous 55 of 56 shots in the Rangers win over the Maple Leafs on Sunday. Georgiev has been outstanding in his last three outings, going 2-1-0 while stopping 100 of the last 105 shots (.952 SV%) that he has faced. Tonight he makes for a solid option vs. a Sabres team that has lost eight of their last 13 (5-7-1).
