It was a terrific showing from Korpisalo, who is now the unquestioned No.1 in Columbus with Elvis Merzlikins out indefinitely. Korpisalo did not face the Lightning during the 2020 regular season.

Korpisalo stopped all 28 shots the he faced in a shutout win over the Maple Leafs in Game 1. The Blue Jackets did a terrific job in limiting Toronto and Korpisalo was there to clean up the rest. As good as he was, Toronto is still a high-powered offence that should bring a better effort in Game 2, making Korpisalo a somewhat risky DFS play.
