Mrazek will be in goal on Tuesday vs. Washington.

Mrazek made 32 saves on 33 shots in the Red Wings 2-1 OT win in Toronto last Friday. He also stopped both shots that he faced after replacing the injured Jimmy Howard in Sunday’s loss. Mrazek has been great for the Red Wings and comes in having won three of his last four while posting a 1.96 GAA and .934 SV%.

The Islanders have sent Ryan Strome to Bridgeport (AHL).

Strome has no recorded a point in five games and has been a healthy scratch in two of the last seven games. Strome has struggled to just five points (1G / 4A) in 12 games this season and the Islanders have decided to send him back to the AHL to help him get his game back on track. The Islanders have also been impressed with Steve Bernier, which allowed them to demote Strome.

Mrazek gets the nod on Friday in Toronto.

Mrazek allowed three goals on 36 shots in the Red Wings win in Ottawa last Saturday. Mrazek has won two of his last three starts while posting a 2.30 GAA and .920 SV%. Overall he has a 2.67 GAA and .921 SV% and he is a must-start tonight vs. a Maple Leafs team who only has two wins in 12 contests.

Mrazek starts Saturday vs. the Senators.

Mrazek made 18 saves on 20 shots in the Red Wings loss to the Hurricanes on Tuesday. Jimmy Howard got the nod last night on home ice, so Mrazek will take the second game of the home-and-home series tonight in Ottawa. Mrazek has one two of his five starts while posting a 2.61 GAA and .922 SV%. Goaltending has not been the issue for the Red Wings—the scoring needs to pick up.

Strome missed Thursday’s game with an illness; listed as day-to-day.

Strome was a late scratch for Thursday's game and is listed as day-to-day with an illness heading into the weekend. The Islanders have a back-to-back starting on Saturday, so monitor Strome's status leading up to tomorrow's contest with the Devils.

Mrazek allowed two goals on 32 shots in the Red Wings OT win over the Canucks on Saturday. Mrazek was outstanding and was the only reason the Red Wigs weren’t blown out. Mrazek has gone 2-2-0 with a 2.75 GAA and .925 SV% and another performance like Saturday’s could give him more starts going forward.

Strome was a a healthy scratch on Saturday, but will get back into the lineup tonight vs. Calgary. He has one goal and four assists in seven games this season. He will replace Steve Bernier in the lineup and should be back on a line with John Tavares.

Mrazek allowed three goals on 28 shots in the Red Wings loss in Edmonton on Wednesday. Mrazek has allowed three goals in each of his three starts this season and has lost each of his last two. His .922 SV% is strong, but the Red Wings are being outshot on a regular basis. He will look to get them back into the win column tonight in Vancouver.

Mrazek allowed three goals on 40 shots in the Red Wings’ 4-1 loss in Montreal on Saturday. Mrazek has faced 43.5 shots per game in his first two starts, something the Red Wings will need to work on moving forward. He draws a nice matchup tonight as he takes on an Edmonton team who is 22nd in the NHL in scoring (2.00 G/PG).

Mrazek made 44 saves on 47 shots in the Red Wings 4-3 win over the Hurricanes last Saturday. Jimmy Howard has started three of the Red Wings first four games, but Mrazek will get the next two. The young netminder will need to bring his A-game tonight as he is expected to go head-to-head with Carey Price, who has yet to lose a game this season.

Gudas will make his Flyers’ debut on Monday.

Gudas missed 51 games a season ago after undergoing knee surgery and now 225 days after being acquired from Tampa Bay, Gudas will finally make his Flyers debut. Gudas is a rugged defenseman, who Flyers fans should love as long as he can stay in the lineup. He isn’t really known for his offence having registered just 32 points (7G / 25A) in 126 games in his career.

Mrazek was fantastic after being recalled from Grand Rapids last season positioned a 16-9-2 record, a 2.38 GAA and .918 SV%. Those splits earned him the nod in the postseason where he nearly led the Red Wings to a first round upset of the Tampa Bay Lightning. Mrazek will battle Jimmy Howard for starts this season, but will need a good performance tonight after Howard shutout the Maple Leafs last night.
