Hinostroza has been great in Rockford this season, scoring nine goals with 13 assists (22 points) in 23 games. The 23-year-old has 14 points (6G/ 8A) in 56 career NHL games and will make his season debut tonight vs. the Sabres. The Blackhawks did not announce who he will replace in the lineup, but look for him to take Lance Bouma’ spot in the bottom-6.


Hinostroza failed to pick up a point while averaging 8:34 TOI in three games during his call-up. Hinostroza returns to Rockford, where he has 27 points (10G / 17A) in 41 games this season.


Hinostroza had no points and four shots in four games since being recalled. Hinostroza has been returned to the AHL, which suggests that Bryan Bickell will be back in the lineup on Thursday in Winnipeg.

Hinostroza, 21, was a sixth round pick (169th overall) in 2012. The 5-foot-9, 180 lbs. forward had 44 points (11G / 33A) in 42 games at the University of Notre Dame last year, before moving to the AHL. In seven career games for Rockford, he totalled three assists. He will make his NHL debut tonight vs. Columbus.
