Hamonic will miss the rest of the regular season with a lower-body injury.

Hamonic suffered a lower-body injury after a knee-on-knee collision in Thursday’s win over the Blue Jackets. Hamonic will miss the rest of the regular season and will be re-evaluated before the playoffs start. Hamonic will be replaced by Marek Zidlicky in Saturday’s game.

Hamonic (lower-body) will return to the Islanders lineup on Friday.

Hamonic has missed the last four games with a lower-body injury, but he will return to the lineup tonight in Ottawa. With Hamonic back in, Scott Mayfield will be a healthy scratch. Hamonic has two goals and six assists in 41 games this season.

Hamonic will be scratched on Saturday because of an undisclosed injury. With Hamonic out, Scott Mayfield, who was recalled on Friday, will make his season debut. Hamonic is considered day-to-day, so monitor his status leading up to Tuesday’s game vs. the Blue Jackets.

Hamonic will miss his sixth consecutive game with an upper-body injury. He was on the ice for the Islanders morning skate on Monday, but won’t be back tonight. The Islanders next game is on Friday in Detroit, monitor Hamonic’s status leading up to Friday.

Hamonic was injured on a hit by Chris Neil in Tuesday’s win over the Senators. Hamonic did not even make the trip to Ottawa for tonight’s rematch. He is listed as day-to-day. Griffin Reinhart, who was recalled on Wednesday should slide into the lineup for Hamonic.
