Nicolas Roy will not travel with the team to Edmonton and is day-to-day with a lower-body injury.

Roy is considered day-to-day after head coach Bruce Cassidy announced he would not be travelling with the team due to a lower-body injury. Roy; a five-year veteran, had been having his best season to date as he had 11 points (4G/7A) in his first 18 games while also having a +3 plus/minus and 25 SOG.

Roy (undisclosed) will make his season debut on Wednesday.

Roy missed the first two games of the season with an undisclosed injury but will play Wednesday vs. the Blues. With Max Pacioretty, Mark Stone, Alex Tuch and Mattias Janmark all out, Roy will play on the second line with Chandler Stephenson and Evgenii Dadonov.

Roy remains day-to-day with an undisclosed injury and will not play Tuesday vs. the Kraken. With Roy out and Patrick Brown getting claimed off of waivers by the Flyers, the Golden Knights' fourth line is expected to feature Peyton Krebs and Pavel Dorofeyev.

The Golden Knights have signed Nicolas Roy to a two-year contract extension worth $1.5 million ($750K AAV).

After being acquired from t he Hurricanes as a part of the Erik Haula trade, Roy split the 2020 campaign between the NHL and AHL. With the Golden Knights, he had 10 points (5G / 5A) in 28 games while scoring seven goals with 15 assists (22 points) in 27 games. Signing a two-year contract means he's signed through 2022 and will still be an RFA at the end of the deal.

Roy will draw into the Golden Knights lineup on Thursday.

Tomas Nosek is expecting the birth of his child, so Roy will replace him on the Golden Knights' fourth-line on Thursday. It will be his first NHL game since December 2nd and the 6-foot-4, 208 lbs. centre has one goal and two assists in seven games this year.

The Golden Knights have recalled Nicolas Roy from Chicago (AHL).

Cody Eakin is expected to miss at least a couple of weeks with an upper-body injury, so Roy comes back up from the AHL. He has split his first two months between the two leagues, compiling six points (2G / 4A) in 11 AHL games and three points (1G / 2A) in six NHL contests. He is expected to centre the fourth line with Tomas Nosek and Ryan Reaves on his wings on Monday.
