Barron will miss Thursday's game vs. Montreal due to a lingering injury. The 23-year-old has played well to start the season, collecting four points (1G/3A) and 15 SOG through nine games.
Barron was acquired from the Rangers in the Andrew Copp trade and has scored one goal with one assist in five games since reporting to Manitoba. He could make his Jets debut on Thursday after being recalled and joining the team in Toronto.
Barron did not play during his most recent call-up and returns to the AHL, where he has six goals and three assists in 15 games.
Barron has had a nice start to the 2021-22 season, scoring two goals in his first two AHL games. The 22-year-old has one goal in five career NHL games and will take Kaapo Kakko's (upper-body) spot on the roster.
