The Bruins signed Marc McLaughlin to a one-year, two-way contract.

McLaughlin was an undrafted free agent out of Boston College, who signed with his hometown Bruins a few weeks ago. The 22-year-old will replace Craig Smith, who is out with an illness.

The recently signed McLaughlin did not appear in a game with Providence. He could make his NHL debut on Monday with Patrice Bergeron out and Jack Studnicka questionable.

The contract will carry an $883,750 AAV cap hit for the undrafted free agent out of Boston College. The 22-year-old forward leads Boston College in goals (21) and is second in points (32) in 33 games this season.
