The Blue Jackets have acquired Luke Tuch from the Canadiens for Hunter McKown.

Tuch was drafted 47th overall by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft but has yet to make his NHL debut. The 24-year-old forward has spent the entirety of the last two seasons in the AHL. In 2025-26, he scored 14 points (9G / 5A) in 68 games with the Laval Rocket (AHL).

Signing

The Canadiens have signed Luke Tuch to a two-year, entry-level contract.

Tuch was a second-round pick (No.47 overall) in 2020 and spent four years at Boston University, where he had 10 goals and 20 assists (30 points) in 39 games this season.
