Aspirot has not played in nearly three weeks due to an upper-body injury, but will re-enter the lineup on Monday against the Calgary Flames. The 26-year-old defenseman has one goal in 19 games this season. Vladislav Kolyachonok will be the odd man out of the lineup to accommodate Aspirot's return.

With Charlie McAvoy (personal) expected to return to the lineup on Tuesday against the Toronto Maple Leafs, Aspirot will head to the press box as a healthy scratch. Six games into his NHL career, the 26-year-old Aspirot is averaging 15:07 time-on-ice and remains in search of his first career point.

The Senators have signed Jonathan Aspirot to a three-year, entry-level contract.

Aspirot was an undraafted free agent out of the QMJHL, who spent the 2019-20 season with the Senators AHL affiliate. The 20-year-old winger scored two goals with 14 assists (16 points) in 44 games with Belleville and will likely start the 2020-21 season with them again.
