Perry elbowed Ryan Ellis in the head during the Winter Classic and will likely be suspended for Friday's game, opening the door for Kiviranta to make his NHL debut.

Kiviranta, 23, was an undrafted free agent from Finland, who had 16 goals and 15 assists (31 points) in 48 games with Sport Vaasa of the Finnish Elite League.
