There was some uncertainty when Head Coach John Hynes announced Wallstedt as the starting goalie for Game One, but there is no question heading into Game Two. The 23-year-old rookie goalie was tremendous in his postseason debut, saving 27 of 28 shots (.964 SV%) in a one-sided 6-1 win over the Dallas Stars. Dating back to the end of the regular season, Wallstedt has saved 140 of the last 148 shots he's faced (.942 SV%). Minnesota has a chance to take control of the series, entering Game Two as +121 road underdogs.

Wallstedt started the 2025-26 season on fire in his first 10 games, but cooled off from early December to late February. However he's rediscovered his early-season for as of late, going 5-3-2 with a 1.98 GAA and .930 SV%. He did not face the Stars this season, but was 9-4-4 with a 2.44 GAA and .918 SV% on the road.

Wallstedt will be back between the pipes for the tail-end of the Wild's back-to-back on Tuesday. The 23-year-old has been outstanding over the final month of the regular season, posting a .931 SV% across his last six appearances. He'll need to remain sharp on Tuesday as the Wild are expected to continue to rest their core group of skaters with their playoff position already cemented. Minnesota enters action tonight at +115 on the money line.

Wallstedt allowed two goals on 27 shots in the Wild's win over the Kraken on Tuesday. Wallstedt hasn't been the most consistent this season, but he's played very well since the start of March, going 3-2-2 with a clean 1.96 GAA and .929 SV%--those splits both rank third in the NHL over that time. Tonight he'll face a desperate Nashville team who have lost five of their last eight games.

Wallstedt has had some ups and downs in his rookie season, battling inconsistencies, but he has been tremendous in recent games. The 24-year-old goalie has an excellent 1.95 GAA and .929 SV% in his last seven appearances, but only has a 2-2-2 record to show for it. That said, Minnesota enters Tuesday's contest as significant -256 home favourites against a free-falling Seattle Kraken team that has only scored eight combined goals in their last five games (0-4-1).

Wallstedt stopped 18 of 20 shots in the Wild's win in Florida last Thursday. Wallstedt hasn't played very much since the Olympic break, but he's gone 1-3-2 with a 2.76 GAA and .903 SV% in his eight appearances during that stretch. Today he'll face the Senators for the second time this season--he stopped 34 of 36 shots in a 3-2 win over the Senators in mid-December.

After a tremendous start to his rookie season, Wallstedt has not been able to sustain his stellar play but is riding another hot stretch. The 23-year-old Swedish goalie has a terrific 2.17 GAA and .922 SV% in five appearances since the beginning of March (0-2-2). Minnesota enters the action on Thursday as a -156 road favourite against a Florida Panthers team that is 2-3-0 in its last five games.

Wallstedt made an early case for winning the Calder trophy for the NHL's best rookie earlier this season, posting an outstanding 1.45 GAA and .954 SV% during a 10-game stretch (9-1-0), but has not been able to maintain that pace. The 23-year-old Swedish goalie has a less-than-stellar 3.09 GAA and .899 SV% in six appearances since returning from the Olympic break (0-2-2). Still, Minnesota enters Thursday's contest as sizable -220 home favourites in a rematch against a Chicago Blackhawks team that they defeated 4-3 in overtime on Tuesday.

Wallstedt returned from the Olympic break with a poor performance, allowing five goals on 37 shots (.865 SV%) in a 5-2 loss to the Utah Mammoth. That said, the 23-year-old Swedish goalie has turned things around since, despite losing both of his subsequent outings (0-0-2), posting an excellent 1.86 GAA and .935 SV%.

After a tremendous start to his 2025-26 season, Wallstedt has faltered slightly, battling consistency as a rookie goaltender. That said, the 23-year-old Wallstedt was tremendous in his most recent outing, saving 34 of 36 shots (.944 SV%) in a 3-2 shootout loss to the league-leading Colorado Avalanche. Minnesota enters Thursday's contest as sizable -226 home favourites against a Philadelphia Flyers team that played last night, winning 4-1 over the Washington Capitals.

Wallstedt will make his first post-Olympic start when the Wild travel to Utah on Friday. Wallstedt did briefly appear in last night's win in Colorado, allowing a goal on two shots after Filip Gustavsson left the game late in the third due to an illness. The 23-year-old Wallstedt has been excellent when called upon this season, registering a 14-5-4 record and a .912 SV% across 24 appearances. The Wild enter action on Friday at +115 on the money line.

Wallstedt was originally expected to back up Filip Gustavsson on Monday, but is unavailable due to an illness. Cal Petersen will serve as the backup in his place.

Wallstedt was terrific in Minnesota's previous game, saving 39 of 42 shots (.929 SV%) in a 7-3 win over the Edmonton Oilers. That said, Minnesota has regularly rotated goalies, and they would likely have turned to Filip Gustavsson on Monday even if Wallstedt had been healthy. The 23-year-old goalie has a 2.72 GAA and .913 SV% in 23 games this season (14-5-4).

Wallstedt was the hottest goalie in the NHL for six weeks into mid-December, posting an elite 1.53 GAA and .954 SV% in 10 games (9-1-0). However, the 23-year-old rookie goalie has struggled immensely ever since, posting an ugly 3.91 GAA and .872 SV% in his last eight games (2-4-2). Minnesota returns to action on Tuesday as a sizeable -204 home favorite against a Chicago Blackhawks team that has scored two or fewer goals in five of their last seven games (2-4-1).

After an otherworldly six-week run in which he posted an outstanding 1.74 GAA and .949 SV% in 11 games (9-2-0), Wallstedt has seen a significant decline in his performance. The 23-year-old Swedish goalie has a concerning 3.81 GAA and .864 SV% in his last six games (2-2-2). Minnesota enters the action on Tuesday as +118 road underdogs against a Montreal Canadiens team that has lost two of its last three games (1-1-1).

Wallstedt stormed onto the NHL radar this season, starting the season with a phenomenal 2.04 GAA and .936 SV% in his first 13 games (10-1-2). That said, the 23-year-old Swedish goalie is battling some adversity for the first time this season, allowing three or more goals in five of his last six games (2-2-2), posting a far less impressive 3.52 GAA and .889 SV%. That said, Minnesota still enters Thursday's contest as -133 home favorites against a Winnipeg Jets team that has seemingly turned a corner, following up its dreadful 11-game losing streak (0-7-4) with three straight wins.

Minnesota has lost three of its last four games (1-1-2) and will turn to Wallstedt on Monday against the New Jersey Devils. The 23-year-old Wallstedt was excellent in his most recent game, saving 26 of 28 shots (.929 SV%) in a 3-2 overtime win over the Seattle Kraken, but has not been as dominant as he was earlier in the season. Wallstedt has followed up a 7-0-0 run in which he posted a dazzling 1.04 GAA and .971 SV% with a 4-2-2 record and 3.02 GAA and .903 SV% in his subsequent eight games. Minnesota enters Monday's contest as -165 home favorites against a reeling Devils team that has been outscored 20-5 during a four-game losing streak (0-4-0).

After a seven-game winning streak, Minnesota has suddenly lost five of its last eight (3-2-3) and will turn to Wallstedt on Thursday against the Seattle Kraken. The 23-year-old rookie goalie has allowed three or more goals in three straight games (1-1-2). Still, he boasts an excellent 2.30 GAA and .926 SV% in 17 games this season (11-2-4).
