Head coach Bruce Cassidy was frustrated with his blueline on Sunday, so it seems likely that Lauzon will draw into the lineup on Tuesday. Lauzon figures to replace Matt Grzelcyk and comes up with 13 points (1G / 12A) in 43 AHL games.

Lauzon played one game (15:40 TOI) during his call-up but heads back to the AHL with Torey Krug and likely Charlie McAvoy back in the lineup tonight.

Lauzon has spent the entire 2019-20 season in the AHL, amassing 10 points (1G / 9A) in 35 games. Lauzon comes up with Charlie McAvoy going on IR and could make his season debut on Tuesday. The 22-year-old, former second-round pick (2015) had one goal in 16 games with the Bruins last year.

The Bruins had two days off in between games, so sending Lauzon down was likely a paper move. Lauzon scored his first carer goal vs. Vegas on Sunday and should be in the lineup again on Wednesday.

Lauzon failed to record a point in four games with the Bruins and his return to the AHL suggests that one of the Bruins’ injured defenseman will be back on Thursday. The 21-year-old, former second-round pick has four points (1G / 3A) in six games with Providence.

Lauzon has recorded one goal and three assists (four points) in six games with Providence this season. He could make his NHL debut on Thursday with Torey Krug, Charlie McAvoy, Kevan Miller and Urho Vaakanainen all banged up on the Bruins blueline.
