Schwartz has been on long-term injured reserve since November 28th, missing 15 games with an upper-body injury, but appears to be nearing a return after being a full participant at practice on Wednesday. Before his injury, Schwartz was in the midst of a cold streak, scoring only one point (0G / 1A) and registering a -5 plus/minus in his last eight games.

Schwartz was placed on the Injured Reserve at the end of November with a lower-body injury and has now been moved to the Long-Term Injured Reserve for roster transactions. Schwartz played only 9:33 time-on-ice in Seattle's 4-3 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday before leaving the game with a lower-body injury and has not been placed on injured reserve and is expected out around six weeks. Before his injury, Schwartz was in the midst of a cold streak, scoring only one point (0G / 1A) and registering a -5 plus/minus in his last eight games.

Schwartz hasn't played since January 12th and is doubtful but a game-time decision to play Wednesday vs. Vancouver. The 30-year-old veteran has 10 goals, 13 assists, 85 SOG, 12 PIMs and a -10 plus/minus through 40 games played prior to the injury.

There was a small shot Schwartz would dress Friday vs. Washington but after missing the Kraken's morning skate it was announced he is day-to-day and would miss the game. The 30-year-old has been enjoying a bounce-back season with eight goals, 15 points, eight PIMS and 54 SOG through 25 games this season.

Schwartz (lower-body) returned to practice on Tuesday.

Jaden Schwartz returned to practice with Seattle's main group Tuesday after leaving the team's previous pre-season game against Edmonton due to a lower-body injury. The winger is projected to line up on both the Kraken's top line and powerplay to start the season. The 30-year-old put up 23 points (8G/15A) in an injury-filled 37 games in his first season with Seattle in 2021-22.

Schwartz suffered a lower-body injury in Friday's preseason game and did not participate in Saturday's practice. Head coach Dave Hakstol called Schwartz day-to-day but did not provide any insight on whether or not he would be available for Wednesday's season opener.

Schwartz has missed the last two games with a lower-body injury but was on the ice for Monday's morning skate and will be a game-time decision vs. the Penguins. Schwartz skated on the top line with Yanni Gourde and Jordan Eberle (who is also a game-time decision) in the session.
