Igor Shesterkin News

Shesterkin will get the start Thursday after stopping 18 of 22 shots in his last start, leading to a shakey 6-4 win Monday over Anaheim. The superstar's run at back-to-back Vezina trophies has started with an undefeated record (3-0-0) in 2022-23, to go alongside his .919 SV% and 3.05 GAA. He faces San Jose, who has yet to win this season through their first five games due to their league-worst 1.6 GF per game and 5.3% powerplay.

Shesterkin takes the crease for the New York Rangers as they host Anaheim at home Monday. The 2021-22 Vezina winner will be looking to keep his undefeated record alive after stopping 33 of 36 shots in a 7-3 win over the Wild on Friday. He faces a Ducks team coming off a tough 7-1 loss in their previous matchup against the Islanders.

Shesterkin takes the crease for the Rangers' second game of the 2022-23 season. It was much the same for last year's Vezina winner in Tuesday's opening game as New York beat Tampa Bay 3-1 on the back of the Russians' 25-save effort (.962). He will look to prove impressive in another tough matchup as the Rangers head to Minnesota Thursday.

The 2021-22 Vezina Trophy winner will return to the crease for his fourth season in the Big Apple against one of the league's top-scoring units in the Tampa Bay Lightning. The 26-year-old Russian will be looking to build off a historical 2021-22 season which saw him finish first in the NHL in both SV% (.935) and GAA (2.07), while also finishing sixth in Wins (36) and third in Shutouts (6).
