Perron has been out since November 27th and his move to LTIR means he will likely be out at least until after the Christmas break. The move was made to create some cap space to deal with injuries to Robert Thomas and Brayden Schenn.

Perron was hurt early in Friday's overtime loss to the Blackhawks and did not return. The Blues have yet to provide an update on Perron's status, so it's unclear how serious the injury is. Consider him questionable to play Saturday until they release more information.

Perron appeared in all 56 games this season but will miss the first game of the playoffs due to COVID-19 protocol. With Perron out, Brayden Schenn and Jaden Schwartz will move up to the top line to skate with Ryan O'Reilly.

Perron remains on IR with an upper-body injury that he suffered in mid-January. Perron will miss his 14th straight game on Thursday but with the Blues rolling like they are right now, there is no need for them to rush the veteran winger back into the lineup.

Perron will be replace by Alex Steen, who returns after missing six games with a shoulder injury. This is a tough break for Perron, who was red-hot, scoring nine goals with 11 assists (20 points) in his last 18 games.

Perron was originally drafted by the Blues and played for them from 2008-to-2013 and against in 2017. The 30-year-old returns to St. Louis after one year in Vegas, where he posted career-highs in assists (50) and points (66). Perron will find himself back in the Blues’ top-6, where he will likely play alongside Ryan O’Reilly.

Perron was a healthy scratch for Game 4, but it looks like he will replace Ryan Carpenter on the Golden Knights’ third line. Perron is still searching for his first playoff goal since April 23rd, 2016—a span of 27 games—but he has eight assists in 14 games this postseason.
