Perry missed a game last week for personal reasons and will miss another on Wednesday. The 40-year-old Perry is having a great season in Los Angeles, with 23 points (10G / 13A) in 37 games. He's been extra productive lately, with eight points (3G / 5A) in his last seven games.



The Kings announced that there is an illness in Perry's family and he will not play on Wednesday against the San Jose Sharks. The 40-year-old Perry has 21 points (9G / 12A) in 35 games this season and was amid a hot stretch, with six points (2G / 4A) in his last five games.

Perry underwent knee surgery in September and has been sidelined for nearly six weeks. He’s been skating with the team over the past week and was a full participant in Monday’s practice, ready to make his season debut on Tuesday against the St. Louis Blues. The Kings are struggling early in the 2025-26 season, off to a 1-3-2 start, and hope Perry's veteran presence can give them a boost.

Derek Ryan will be a healthy scratch on Tuesday against the Boston Bruins, allowing Perry to return to the lineup after not playing their previous game. The 39-year-old Perry is averaging 11:25 time-on-ice, recording 12 points (6G / 6A) and 16 hits in 38 games this season.


After failing to win a Stanley Cup after reaching the finals for the fifth time in his career, Corey Perry is going to run it back with Edmonton after signing a one-year deal worth $1,400,000 AAV. The 39-year-old is entering his 20th NHL season after putting up 12 goals and 22 points in 54 games with Chicago and Edmonton in 2023-24.


Perry was a healthy scratch for Game 2 on Monday as he was replaced by Warren Foegele but is expected to draw back into the OIlers' lineup for Game 3 on Thursday. The Oilers have not yet announced who the 39-year-old will replace in Edmonton's lineup. Through 14 playoff games played, he has no goals, one assist, 11 SOG, eight PIMs and a -3 plus/minus while averaging just 11:03 TOI/GP.


Perry was banged up in Game 5 but will be fine for a potential series-clinching Game 6 vs. the Stars. Perry has one assist, one shot and three hits in two games during this series.

Perry has been a healthy scratch for Edmonton's previous five games but is expected to draw back into the lineup on Wednesday for Game 4 as he replaces Warren Foegele. The 39-year-old was acquired mid-season by Edmonton but has yet to pick up a playoff point in 10 games played this postseason.

Perry hasn't played a game since his contract was terminated by the Chicago Blackhawks in late November. Before having his contract terminated, Perry was amid a somewhat resurgent start to the season, scoring nine points (4G / 5A) in 16 games. It is unlikely that Perry will continue his 0.56 point-per-game pace with the Oilers, as he is expected to skate on the third line with Dylan Holloway and Ryan McLeod.
