Sissons has been out with a lower-body injury since December 27th and spent the Predators' bye week on a conditioning stint with Milwaukee. Sissons just practiced with the team but did not play in a game. He skated as an extra in Sunday's practice, so don't expect him to be in the lineup on Monday.

Sissons was hurt last night vs. the Penguins and was spotted leaving Bridgestone Arena with a protective boot on his right leg. Sissons move to IR means he will miss at least one week, meaning he'll miss the Winter Classic. Yakov Trenin was called up to take Sissons' roster spot.

Sissons set career-bests in goals (15) and points (30) in 75 games a season go. Sissons is an integral part of the Predators bottom-6, ranking second on the team in faceoffs (53.1 percent), first among Predators forwards in SH TOI/GM (1:59) and hits (109). It is the type of contract you don’t see very often for a player with Sissons role but the Predators are making a long-term commitment to him.

Sissons has missed the last seven games but appears set to return to the Predators lineup in Montreal on Saturday. Sissons has quietly had a solid season, scoring seven goals and nine assists (16 points) in 35 games—on-pace for a career-high 15 goals and 34 points.

Sissons was forced to leave Tuesday’s game with an undisclosed injury and will not play Thursday in Philadelphia. Tyler Gaudet has been called up from Milwaukee (AHL) and is expected to replace Sissons in the lineup.


Sissons was not on the ice for the Predators morning skate, so he is listed as a game-time decision. If Sissons can’t play, Kevin Fiala (upper-body) is expected to draw back in to take his roster spot.

Sissons has missed the last seven games with an upper-body injury, but will return to the lineup tonight vs. the Blues. Sissons has two goals and one assist while averaging 10:18 TOI/GM in 19 contests so far this season.


Sissons missed Saturday’s game vs. the Penguins because of food poisoning, but he was back on the ice for practice this afternoon and it looks like he will be available for Wednesday’s game in Anaheim.

Sissons, 22, has one goal and one assist in 19 games with the Predators this season. He has picked up 19 points (8G / 11A) in 38 games with Milwaukee and will be in the lineup on Tuesday with Paul Gaustad out.

Sissons, 22, has appeared in 19 games for the Predators in 2015-16, notching a pair of points (1G /1A) and a 59 percent success rate in the face-off circle, best among all NHLers taking at least 100 draws. He has also served as the youngest captain in Milwaukee Admirals history this season, amassing 16 points (6G / 10A) in 33 games.

Sissons, 22, had one goal in five games with the Predators before being sent back to the AHL. With Paul Gaustad reportedly banged up again, look for Sissons to be in the lineup on Friday. While with Milwaukee, he had eight points (3G / 5A) in 12 games.
