Katchouk suffered the injury in Saturday's preseason game vs. the Red Wings and is expected to be sidelined until early-to-mid November. Katchouk was expected to fill a bottom-6 spot to open the season but expect Jujhar Khaira to fill that role now.
Katchouk was acquired for Brandon Hagel on Friday and will make his debut Saturday afternoon in Minnesota. The Blackhawks did not announce who he will replace in the lineup but he comes in with six points (2G / 4A) in 38 games this season.
Katchouk has missed the last six games with a lower-body injury but is expected to replace Alex Barre-Boulet in the lineup on Saturday. Katchouk has been held pointless in four NHL games this season.
