Andrew Mangiapane News

Mangiapane was one of six Flames players that were added to the COVID-19 protocol list on Monday morning. Calgary's next three games have been postponed as a result of this outbreak.

Mangiapane has missed the last two games but will play Tuesday vs. the Capitals. Mangiapane has scored in back-to-back games and is averaging nearly two shots per game despite playing just 10:54 ATOI in eight games this year.

Mangiapane spent most of his time in the NHL in 2019, scoring eight goals with five assists (13 points) in 44 games with the Flames. Mangiapane will likely be reserved to a fourth-line role, with Johnny Gaudreau, Matthew Tkachuk and Milan Lucic ahead of him on the depth chart.

Mangiapane has had a nice season in Stockton. He is currently tied for second on the team in goals (7) and tied for fifth in points (14) despite playing in just 13 of 21 games. Mangiapane has not suited up for the Flames this season but has 10 career NHL games under his belt.

With Micheal Frolik (broken jaw) going on IR, Mangiapane has been recalled after recording 14 goals and 19 assists (33 points) in 29 games with Stockton.
