Which teams not on Dylan Larkin’s trade list could still be a good fit?

The Detroit Red Wings are heading into an offseason unlike anything Hockeytown has seen in some time, with the focus being on the captain.
Forward Dylan Larkin has requested a trade, deciding that a decade’s worth of futility is enough. The Michigan native has reportedly put out a list of three teams that he’d be willing to be moved to – the Minnesota Wild, Vegas Golden Knights and Florida Panthers. All three quality teams might be able to use the growing salary cap to fit the veteran center onto their roster for the near future.
However, given that there are 28 other teams in the NHL, one has to think that there might be other organizations that might be willing to take a swing at Larkin.
On Thursday’s edition of Daily Faceoff LIVE, Tyler Yaremchuk and Carter Hutton discuss where else Larkin could possibly end up.
Carter Hutton: I’m going to go Anaheim and San Jose, because I just think those are two teams that have so much sex appeal, in the sense of like the way that they are trending, right? I think Anaheim is ahead of the curve compared to San Jose, but if you’re telling me that I’ve just spent the majority of my career in Michigan and Detroit, working my butt off for the Wings, and I get an opportunity to move out to NorCal or play in Newport Beach, there’s a lot of sex appeal for me to waive my no movement clause to be part of a young group that’s on the rise. So, those are the two teams for me, outside of the list that he gave, that I think really offers something to Dylan Larkin.
Tyler Yaremchuk: I can see why San Jose would want him. I can also Larkin would say I’m not going there. I think if he wants to win, he’ll go somewhere that’s a little bit more established. So, I’ll agree with you on the Anaheim one, because I think there’s a world where you could convince him, ‘Hey, it’s great to live there.’ There’s a good amount of Americans on the team, especially if [John] Carlson were to re-sign there, or whatever, I could see that, and they made the playoffs last year.
