What do the Senators do in the post-Brady Tkachuk era?

Now that the deal is completed, what will the Ottawa Senators do now that Brady Tkachuk is no longer in the picture?
The blockbuster move on Sunday saw the Senators trade captain Brady Tkachuk to the Florida Panthers. In return, Ottawa received four draft picks, including two in the first round in this year’s event.
While general manager Steve Staios received quite the haul in giving up a top-notch player, there are concerns in what direction the franchise will go. The Sens have reached the Stanley Cup Playoffs in each of the past two seasons, with a rising core that can carry this team into the future.
On Monday’s edition of Daily Faceoff LIVE, David Pagnotta joined Tyler Yaremchuk and Carter Hutton to explain what the Senators might do without Tkachuk in the near future.
David Pagnotta: They’re going to utilize those picks to try to bring in some immediate help, because this is a team that wants to contend, they want to get back to the postseason. They want to build off of the success of the past season. We already knew that they were looking for a top-six winger. We know that they’re looking for a right-shot defenseman for that second pair, at least.
Now, without your captain, you’ve got to somehow recoup some of these immediate assets, and that’s what you know Staios is looking to do right now with the ninth overall pick, with the 25th, and whatever other assets that they have as well. I mentioned yesterday that Jason Robertson’s a target for them. We’ll see kind of how that all comes to fruition if it does, because obviously, you know, he’s got to agree to an extension. That’s obviously a talking point, they have to agree on a trade, that’s another talking point. There’s no guarantee Dallas even does this. You can have a certain wish list and he may be at the top of it, but it may not necessarily be the option that works for them, but that just goes to show you that’s that’s the mindset of Steve Staios right now. Looking at him, looking at other options, including Mason McTavish and others out in Anaheim to see, ‘Hey, what options are available to us, and that’s what they’re looking to do right now?’
