Weiermair was taken by the Golden Knights in the sixth round, 186th overall, of the 2025 PWHL Draft. It came after a successful campaign with the Portland Winterhawks of the Western Hockey League.
After starting the season at the University of Denver, Weiremair returned to the junior ranks, showing his scoring prowess with the Winterhawks, which ultimately made it to the Western Conference Final. In 41 games, the Los Angeles native scored 21 goals and 25 assists for 46 points. He went on to add another 23 points in 18 postseason games before Portland was swept in the semifinals by a U.S. Division rival, the Spokane Chiefs.
This year, the 20-year-old has continued to impress with the Hawks. In 57 appearances, he has scored 32 goals and 43 assists for 75 points. While he leads his team in scoring, he sits tied for 10th in the WHL in points.
Weiermair was a solid prospect heading to Denver in 2023. However, on a team filled with future NHL talent, including Zeev Buium and Jack Devine, Weiermair never found the scoring touch that made him a solid player with the U.S. National Team Development Program. After scoring just six points in 24 games in 2023-24, with the Pioneers going on to win the NCAA Championship, he left the school after posting two assists in nine games early on last season.
With the USNTDP, Weiermair notched 38 goals and 32 assists for 70 points in 165 games.
