Projected NHL Lineups & Game Notes 05/23/18

In Game 6, the Washington Capitals once again outshot the Tampa Bay Lightning by a wide margin but were actually able to walk away with the win thanks to a strong performance from Braden Holtby.
The Capitals have finally slowed the Lightning’s power-play down, holding them to 0-for-3 in the last two games.
Heading into Game 7, the lineups will look very similar to Game 6. The Capitals will trot out the exact same lines and pairings, but the Lightning will make a couple of tweaks. Alex Killorn will be bumped up to the top-line with Steven Stamkos and Nikita Kucherov. Killorn has been one of the Lightning’s best players in the series, posting a 13.74 ReletiveCorsi%, 51.56 ScoringChancesFor% and 70.00 HighDangerChancesFor% in 64:58 5v5 TOI. The will bump Ondrej Palat back to the second line and Yanni Gourde to the third.
In their most recent Game 7’s, the Capitals are 2-4 dating back to 2012 while the Lightning’s are 3-2 since 2011.
