Frost’s Kelly Pannek wins PWHL Top Goal Scorer, Points Leader awards

One of the more underappreciated players in the game is taking home hardware after an incredible regular season.
At the conclusion of the 2025-26 regular season, Minnesota Frost Forward Kelly Pannek was awarded both the PWHL Points Leader and Goal Scorer Award.
Pannek becomes the second player in the league’s young history to achieve the feat. In the PWHL’s inaugural campaign, Toronto Sceptres forward Natalie Spooner won both awards after scoring 20 goals and 27 points.
Pannek surpassed those numbers and then some. She led the league with 16 goals, while setting a new PWHL record with 33 points in 30 games. Pannek and teammate Taylor Heise became the first players ever to reach the 30-point mark.
The duo powered one of the most vaunted offenses the league has ever seen. The Frost finished with a league record 91 goals, with five players ranked in the top 10 in scoring.
Pannek was able to put up numbers in bunches this season. She was only held off the scoresheet just six times this year, posting eight multi-point games and three multi-goal performances. The Plymouth, Minn. native’s best day at the office came on April 4 against the Vancouver Goldeneyes, when she scored two goals, including the game-winner, and four points in a wild 6-5 victory.
What might be an even more surprising stat is that, while Pannek has been a key player for the Frost, she blew away her production in her first two seasons in the league. Across the 2024 and 2024-25 campaigns, she registered a combined 27 points. She went far beyond those numbers in one season, placing her name in the Billie Jean King MVP Award conversation as well.
Across three regular seasons, Pannek has now scored 23 goals and 37 assists for 60 points.
The Frost (13-3-5-9) finished third in the PWHL. They will wait to see who they play in the Walter Cup Playoffs later this weekend.
