Hometown remix leaks reveal Panthers could give NHL its first pink jersey

For the first time since Adidas brought two iterations of the Reverse Retro concept to the NHL’s set of uniforms, every NHL team will get a new, unique jersey in the 2026-27 season with Fanatics’ Hometown Remix line.

Thanks to leaks from listings on eBay, we have a solid idea of what two of the new uniforms will look for, as the Florida Panthers will have a pink jersey and the New York Islanders appear set to unveil another tribute to their old Fisherman logo look.

On Monday’s episode of Daily Faceoff LIVE, host Tyler Yaremchuk and co-host and former NHL goaltender Carter Hutton discussed the bold swing that the Panthers and Fanatics seem to be taking with the look that is deeply inspired by the city of Miami.

Tyler Yaremchuk: Wrapping up the show with a little bit of garbage time. We’ve got some jersey leaks from over the weekend. Courtesy of the great folks over at Icethetics who are always on top of this stuff, and I know there’s been various internet leaks as well. Pete and DJ are covering it today on What Chaos! if you want more info. But basically the NHL is following the theme that baseball’s done with the City Connects and the NBA did City Editions… and all 32 clubs will have one next year. Kind of like a zany and out there third jersey… the two jerseys that have actually leaked of the bunch are right here on the screen. For the first– and actually I didn’t know this until I watched the video from Icethetics, but this is going to be the first time, the Florida Panthers jersey… It’ll be the first time in NHL history, Hutts, that a team has worn pink as the jersey.

Carter Hutton: That’s crazy. I’ve never seen that before. I did wear pink in the rink, which I just actually put out where I was playing in Rockford. We always had some funny jerseys. This kind of reminded me of the [Reverse Retro] jerseys. Just some of them are so far out there and they didn’t hit. So I love the jerseys that go in for it. And the minors was even funnier. I think back to Rockford again, I remember we had one that was Lost Ice Hogs Night and it was like a tie-dye jersey, and the pig that was our thing, he’s wearing a sombrero. It was wild. It’s funny what they come up with. But it’s always about jersey sales and getting reps, and I love it the NHL stepping out here, Ty.
