Fleet sign Leah Stecker to three-year contract
The Boston Fleet announced Monday they signed defender Leah Stecker to a three-year, standard player agreement.
Stecker, 22, was taken by the Fleet in the third round of the 2026 PWHL Draft.
The Randolph, N.J., native spent four seasons playing college hockey at Penn State University, where she recorded 12 goals and 45 assists for 57 points in 152 career NCAA games.
During her senior season, she served as an alternate captain and produced three goals and 17 assists for 20 points in 39 games, helping Penn State reach their first Frozen Four in program history.
Last month, the Fleet announced they would be playing their home games at Agganis Arena, home of the Boston University’s men’s hockey team, for the 2026-27 campaign. The club had played at Tsongas Center, home of the University of Massachusetts-Lowell, through their first three seasons in the league.
“The passion for the Fleet in the City of Boston has continued to grow since our first game at Agganis,” Fleet director of business operations Laura Marie Davey said. “This move allows us to build on that momentum while creating new opportunities to connect with supporters throughout Greater Boston, the South Shore and Rhode Island.”
Boston finished the 2025-26 season with a 16-5-4-5 record and 62 points, second in the PWHL standings. They were eliminated in four games by the Ottawa Charge in the first round of the Walter Cup Playoffs.
Forward Jessie Eldridge led the team in goals and points with 14 and 23, respectively, while center Alina Muller finished with the most assists with 17. Defenders Haley Winn and Megan Keller, who each averaged more than 26 minutes of ice time per game, led the blue line with 19 and 22 points, respectively.
