Bruins sign Attilio Biasca to two-year contract

The Boston Bruins announced on Sunday that they have signed forward Attilio Biasca to a two-year contract with a $980,000 cap hit.
Biasca’s contract is a two-way deal, with his AHL salary being $85,000 for both seasons. The contract also comes with signing bonuses of $103,000 and $108,000, as well as performance bonuses of $73,000 and $68,000. The conditions of his performance bonuses are not known.
Biasca signs his deal after a strong showing with Switzerland in the 2026 IIHF World Championship, as he helped the hosting country to a silver medal. It was the team’s third-consecutive silver medal win, but this was Biasco’s first tournament. He finished the tournament with one goal and two assists for three points in 10 games.
Biasca is also coming off of his best season in the National League in Switzerland, where he had 15 goals and 12 assists for 27 points in 45 games with HC Fribourg-Gotteron. His previous best season was 15 points in his rookie year of 2023-24, so with this performance, he doubled his career bests.
Biasca was a bit quieter in the playoffs with only three goals and one assist for four points in 14 games, but that proved to not matter for HC Fribourg-Gotteron, as they went on to win the championship.
“He had an excellent World Championship,” Daily Faceoff prospect and international hockey analyst Steven Ellis said. “One of the hardest working players on that team and made a really good impact every single game.”
Biasca is the Bruins’ third signing so far this summer, as they also extended Lukas Reichel and Navrin Mutter since their first-round elimination in the playoffs. The Bruins have nearly $15.5 million in salary cap space with nine unrestricted free agents and eight restricted free agents to re-sign, highlighted by Viktor Arvidsson, Andrew Peeke and Jordan Harris.
