Ducks’ Gauthier out day-to-day; Harkins out four weeks

The Anaheim Ducks announced a pair of injury updates on Tuesday.
Forward Cutter Gauthier will be day-to-day with an upper-body injury he suffered during Monday’s 5-4 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs. He will miss the team’s game against the San Jose Sharks on Wednesday.
INJURY UPDATE: Cutter Gauthier has an upper body injury and did not join the team on the current road trip. He will miss tomorrow’s game in San Jose and is listed as day-to-day.
The Ducks also announced that forward Jansen Harkins underwent surgery on his hand after suffering an injury last week against the Vancouver Canucks. He is expected to be out four weeks.

Through 73 games, Gauthier has 38 goals and 27 assists for 65 points. Now in his second full season, the 22-year-old winger has 58 goals and 52 assists for 110 points in 156 career regular-season games.
Gauthier was acquired by the Ducks in a trade with the Philadelphia Flyers in January 2024. He was taken No. 5 overall by the Flyers in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft.
Before turning professional, Gauthier spent two seasons playing college hockey with Boston College. He scored 54 goals and 48 assists for 102 points in 73 career NCAA games. In his sophomore season, he recorded a school-record 38 goals and 27 assists for 65 points.
As for Harkins, the forward has recorded three goals and five assists for eight points in 44 games with the Ducks in 2025-26. Through seven NHL seasons, the Cleveland, Ohio, native has 15 goals and 22 assists for 37 points in 261 career regular-season games with the Ducks, Winnipeg Jets and Pittsburgh Penguins.
The Ducks are 41-28-5 with 87 points in 74 games this season. They are first in the Pacific Division.
