After the Canadiens acquired Sergei Gonchar from the Stars on Tuesday, one of their young defensemen needed to be sent down. They have elected to go with Nathan Beaulieu over Tinordi for now. Tinordi was a healthy scratch in four of the last five games and had just two assists with a minus-5 rating in nine games.

Bennett, 22, had five assists in two games in his brief conditioning stint with WBS. The oft-injured Bennett has worked his way back from a knee injury suffered in training camp. Now that he is back, the goal will be to stay healthy for an extended period of time. There is a good chance he ends up on the second line with Evgeni Malkin and Pascal Dupuis, which would make him a nice pickup in standard leagues.

Fast, 22, has one goal and eight assists in 11 games with Hartford this season. He will be in the Rangers fourth line with Dominic Moore and Tanner Glass. He has yet to record a point in three games with the Rangers.

Jordan was recalled to fill-in for either John-Michael Liles or Tim Gleason on Monday, but both were able to suit up.

He as the Stars fifth round selection (131st overall) in 2010, but has yet to make an NHL appearance. Jordan, 24, has two assists in 10 games with the Checkers (AHL) this season. He has been recalled because John-Michael Liles left Saturday’s game with an injury and Tim Gleason is day-to-day. He will likely make his season debut tonight vs. the Flames. Jordan has no points in five career NHL games.

He has been recalled because there is some uncertainty surrounding blue liners Cam Fowler (lower-body) and Francois Beauchemin (flu) availability for Sunday’s game. The 26th overall pick in the 2013 NHL Draft could be in line to make his NHL debut tonight.

Clark, 24, has two assists in 11 games with Norfolk this season. He has been recalled because there is some uncertainty surrounding blue liners Cam Fowler (lower-body) and Francois Beauchemin (flu) availability for Sunday’s game. Clark has just two games of NHL experience.

Grimaldi, 21, did not record a point, but had 10 shots, two PIMs and a minus-1 rating in four games during his recall. The undersized forward played very well despite not registering a point. Expect Tomas Fleischmann to draw back in on Tuesday vs. the Sharks.
